Scurvy is an IPA from Tyranena Brewing Co that's brewed with dried orange peel. Not surprisingly, the aroma is laced with notes of orange rind, but we also get hints of floral hops and earthy pine. On the palate, those citrus notes kick into high gear for a nice smack of bitterness right up front, followed with a touch juicy melon to even things out a bit. Scurvy pours a beautiful reddish-amber in color, so there's a slightly caramelized, malty backbone to lend a little sweetness and combat all of those hops. At 6.5 percent alcohol content, Scurvy is a medium-bodied, but drinkable IPA that's pleasantly bitter and pretty damn refreshing.

This dangerously delicious recipe features often subtle, but sometimes assertive signatures of American hop varieties. Look for: Citra: heavy citrus aroma, fruity flavor; Chinook: grapefruit, resinous pine; Simcoe: dry, piney; and Mosaic: earthy and mildly floral, with notes of sweet citrus and spice.

Tyranena Scurvy IPA

A provocative 85 IBUs reverberates cleanly through this Double IPA. True hop saturation from kettle boil to dry hop cellaring dominates this elegant and lustful sensory enchantment. You hold a deceptively seductive Original Gravity of 19.2 Plato, now 9% ABV following the always 100% natural bottle fermentation. Luscious English Maris Otter malt is the essential heart of this voluptuous double IPA. Surrender is inevitable so enjoy now.

Boston Bual still boasts incredible balance and refreshing acidity. The hallmark of this wine is its otherworldly complexity, featuring cinnamon-clove spiciness with overtones of citrus peel and woodsmoke. There is just enough sweetness to excel as an after-dinner wine, but its long, dry finish also makes it work beautifully with food.

Belle Glos Las Alturas Pinot Noir

Concentrated, big, rich and ripe, it offers a very spicy palate with some licorice and cumin seed coming through, supported by a medium level of velvety tannins, lively acidity and finishing very long.  This wine is made with nitrogen gas and needs a good shake prior to drinking-yes; you need to shake this wine!  View the Molly Dooker Shake HERE or come in and ask Justin to do it for you.
